Today, in Toulouse, at an official Press Conference hosted by the city, Joost Vantomme, ERTICO CEO reiterated the importance of the ITS Congresses to European cities. At the Press Conference, Mr Vantomme was joined by Dominique Faure, First Vice-President of Toulouse Métropole, Jean-Claude Dardelet, Vice-President of Toulouse Métropole in charge of attractiveness and international affairs and Albert Sanchez, Mayor of Cugnaux, metropolitan advisor in charge of urban logistics.
As he presented the Congress programme, Mr Vantomme said, ‘ERTICO, as a public-private partnership, connects the dots between all actors in the field of intelligent mobility and is a catalyst for research and innovation. The Congress, the Exhibition, the technical visits and the demonstrations are a fantastic opportunity for Toulouse Métropole, the territory and the region, as well as for all players involved and visitors to see what is really behind the mobility of the future. In close cooperation with Toulouse Métropole, we are delighted to host this unmissable European event where industry, authorities, European institutions and the entire ITS ecosystem will be able to discuss and play a decisive role in the deployment of intelligent mobility for people, goods, services and data on our continent. The Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) European Congress 2022 will be hosted by Toulouse Métropole -in partnership with ERTICO-ITS Europe- and will take place on 30 May – 1 June 2022 at the Exhibition and Conference Centre MEETT, very close to Toulouse Blagnac airport. At this year’s ITS European Congress in addition to the innovations presented on the Congress stands, the High-Level Conference Programme will include speakers from the Commission, industry and senior city officials and the Technical Programme will offer experts from the ITS Community the opportunity to present their innovations. There will also be ‘live’ demonstrations outside the MEETT Conference and Exhibition Centre as well as technical visits going on in several industrial sites, in particular, the Francazal and Oncopole areas.
