With less than three weeks to go before the start of the 14th ITS European Congress, we are now into the home stretch as far as preparations for the 2022 Toulouse Congress go. Months of activity behind us, but there is still plenty to do to ensure that everything goes according to plan! This sentiment is also a good introduction to the last episode of our webinar series. Our fifth and final webinar will be on the Congress topic ‘From Largescale Trials to Deployment’.
The webinar will begin with Lisa Boch-Andersen, ERTICO’s Director of Communications, Congresses and Events, giving an update on the status of preparations for a truly impactful and exciting Congress. Join the webinar to preview what you can look forward to in terms of the programme, speakers, demonstrations, etc.
The discussion about what goes into successfully deploying ITS solutions on European roads will be approached from various angles. First, Guillaume Puiseux, Strategy and Marketing Director at Michelin DDi – also a Thematic Partner at the Toulouse Congress – will discuss leveraging driving behaviour data for safer roads.
In the second part of the webinar, Frank Daems, Senior Manager in the Innovation and Deployment Department at ERTICO, will moderate a panel of invited speakers on the topic. This session will zoom in on the role of startups in getting Smart Mobility on the roads. Markus Dorn, Chief Technical Officer at IoT Baseplate, will talk about how their IoT Baseplate is being used to pilot traffic event digitization in real-time. Ibon Arechalde, CEO and Co-founder at ASIMOB, will present a demo for large cities by giving the example of the deployment of an autonomous road inspector in Cunit, Spain. Finally, Edoardo Felici, Policy Officer at the European Commission DG MOVE, will share insights about the lessons learned under the ITS Directive framework when going from pilots to deployment.
Join us on Thursday 19th May, 14:00-15:15, to participate in this interesting discussion and hear about what awaits you at the ITS European Congress in Toulouse!
